FAQ: Click - The First Watch Band Adapter for Apple Watch!
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

When did you start working on Click?

Our team has been hard at work since just after the Apple Watch announcement in September of last year. After we received our patent pending status in December of 2014, we went to work developing prototypes and refining our product. We made Click open to the public only recently because we wanted to make sure that it was the best product it could be at the time of launch! Last updated: Thu, Mar 19 2015 4:54 am EDT

What is the IP Section for?

We’ve had a provisional patent for Click since December of 2014, and we need money to finalize the process. Last updated: Wed, Mar 18 2015 10:53 pm EDT

What size watch bands do you support?

Click supports 22mm watchbands. Initially, we were considering supporting 24mm bands, but in the end we decided on 22mm. Not only are 22mm watch bands more accessible to our backers, but after speaking to experts in the industry, 22mm watch bands are also the most popular among backers outside the United States. For our supporters with larger wrists, rest assured that we are actively pursuing ways to support larger watch bands with Click! Last updated: Wed, Mar 18 2015 10:53 pm EDT

What material is Click made of?

Click will be manufactured out of high quality, durable polymers to ensure the safety of your watch. We chose polymers because they are more skin-friendly to consumers and do not cause the rashes that some metals do. Polymers also are less prone to scuffing, scratching, and tarnishing, which can cause the product to appear damaged over time. With polymers, we can also get the color of our adapters to be as precise as possible in order to match your watch pristinely. We have access to multi-million dollar color spectrum machines that we will use to get the precise color values to match the finish of each watch. Again, thank you for your support! What about making Click in metal?

We are actively pursuing the possibility of making Click in metal. We have been in contact with numerous manufacturers and as any updates arrive, we will be sure to let you know! Last updated: Wed, Mar 18 2015 11:17 pm EDT

When will the rewards ship?

We’re hoping to ship all the rewards in late May or early June, no matter which reward you choose. We’re going to ship as soon as we’ve verified the strength and security with real Apple Watches. Last updated: Wed, Mar 18 2015 7:35 pm EDT

When do I choose what color and size I want?

As soon as our campaign is finished, we will send each of our backers a survey asking them what color and size they would like to receive! Last updated: Fri, Mar 20 2015 10:07 am EDT

How can I change my reward?

Go to the project page and click the Manage button under the reward selection. That’ll take you to a page where you can change what you’ve selected, and your donation amount. Last updated: Sat, Mar 21 2015 3:17 pm EDT

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
